How to request TOEFL accommodations
תוספת זמן והתאמות אחרות מאושרות על ידי ETS Disability Services, לא על ידינו ולא על ידי מרכז הבחינה. ETS לא גובים על כך תשלום.
Extra time and other accommodations are approved by ETS Disability Services, not by us and not by the test center. ETS does not charge for them.

Important! Get the approval before you book a test. Accommodations cannot be added to a test that is already scheduled, and the review takes about six weeks, so send the request at least two months ahead.

ETS מציעים תוספת זמן של 25%, 50% או 100%, הפסקות נוספות, הגדלת מסך, בחירת צבעי מסך, מקריא, כתבן ועוד. ב-TOEFL אפשר לבקש גם פטור מפרק ה-Listening או מפרק ה-Speaking, או תמלול של קטעי השמע.
ETS offers 25%, 50% or 100% extra time, extra breaks, screen magnification, a choice of screen colours, a reader, a scribe and more. On the TOEFL you can also ask for the Listening or the Speaking section to be omitted, or for transcripts of the audio.

יש שני קיצורי דרך. אם אתם מבקשים תוספת זמן של עד 50% או הפסקות נוספות, טופס Certification of Eligibility יכול להחליף את האבחון. חותמים עליו במשרד הנגישות של המכללה או האוניברסיטה שלכם, או במשאבי אנוש במקום העבודה, ולא מי שאבחן אתכם. ואם קיבלתם אישור להתאמות במבחן אחר, כמו SAT, ACT, GMAT או LSAT, מספיק עותק של מכתב האישור.
There are two shortcuts. If you ask for up to 50% extra time or extra breaks, a Certification of Eligibility form can replace the evaluation. It is signed by the disability services office at your college or university, or by HR at your workplace, and not by the person who diagnosed you. And if you were approved for accommodations on another test, such as the SAT, ACT, GMAT or LSAT, a copy of that approval letter is enough.

לתוספת זמן של 100%, למקריא או לכתבן, ולמצבים רפואיים, ETS מבקשים אבחון מלא. האבחון צריך להיכתב על ידי איש מקצוע מוסמך, על נייר מכתבים רשמי, מודפס באנגלית, עם תאריך וחתימה. ללקות למידה או להפרעת קשב הוא צריך להיות מחמש השנים האחרונות. אם האבחון שלכם בעברית, תרגמו אותו לאנגלית.
For 100% extra time, a reader or a scribe, and for medical conditions, ETS asks for a full evaluation. It should be written by a licensed professional, on letterhead, typed in English, dated and signed. For a learning disability or ADHD it should be from the past five years. If yours is in Hebrew, have it translated into English.

Submit the request in your account
בחשבון ה-ETS בחרו “TOEFL Accommodation Status/New Request”, מלאו את הבקשה והעלו את המסמכים.
In your ETS account, choose “TOEFL Accommodation Status/New Request”, fill in the request and upload the documents.

חכו להחלטה
Wait for the decision
הבדיקה נמשכת כשישה שבועות, או שבועיים עד שלושה כששולחים רק את טופס Certification of Eligibility. אם ETS מבקשים מסמכים נוספים, ההמתנה מתחילה מחדש. ההחלטה מגיעה במייל.
The review takes about six weeks, or two to three weeks when you send only the Certification of Eligibility. If ETS asks for more documents, the wait starts again. The decision arrives by email.

Studying at an Israeli university?
ETS לא מציינים אם הם מקבלים טופס Certification of Eligibility שנחתם במשרד נגישות מחוץ לארה״ב. שאלו את ETS לפני שאתם מסתמכים על כך.
ETS does not say whether it accepts a Certification of Eligibility signed by an accessibility office outside the US. Ask ETS before you rely on it.

Small things need a request too
גם הפסקה לתרופה, לחטיף, לשתייה או לבדיקת סוכר דורשת בקשה, עם מכתב מודפס מהרופא. מכשירי שמיעה, כרית גב והדום לא דורשים בקשה.
A break for medication, a snack, a drink or glucose testing also needs a request, with a typed letter from your doctor. Hearing aids, a lumbar cushion and a footstool need no request.
כבר קיבלתם אישור מ-ETS?
Approved by ETS before?
אם האישור שקיבלתם למבחן אחר של ETS, למשל GRE, עדיין בתוקף, אפשר לבקש את אותן התאמות בלי לשלוח שוב את המסמכים. במכתב האישור כתוב אם הוא עדיין בתוקף.
If your approval for another ETS test, such as the GRE, is still current, you can ask for the same accommodations without sending the documents again. Your approval letter shows whether it is still current.
